    Ana Maria Enciso, a Peruvian artisan versed in metalworking, produces this stunning wall mask in her workshop outside Lima through an involved process. This mask goes through a strategic crafting process, with the artisan starting by shaping copper sheets by hand using a chisel, then receiving smaller detail work and finally being bathed in a solution to create the copper sulfate finish. This mask is a reproduction of the larger original version, depicting an octopus in the motif of a personified sun beaming at the earth below.
