    Story Behind the Art:
    Artisans from the Akamba tribe of Kenya work side by side to create these imposing African creatures. A master carver first shapes each animal from a block of native Jacaranda wood, then another artisan brings up the woods' fine finish and hand paints each realistic animal. Due to the handcrafted nature, no two are exactly alike.
